News Fox - Israel Palestinians Reject Compromise On France
Today at exactly 16:30, when the United States (U.S.), or approximately 3:30 am, Saturday, September 24 when Indonesia, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will formally propose the recognition of his country as a full member of the United Nations. This will be done at the UN General Assembly in New York.
Steps taken by the Palestinians was heavily criticized by the U.S. and Israel. Meanwhile, the proposal given by the French form of the Palestinian effort to not put themselves forward as a full member of the United Nations.
Sarkozy suggested that the Palestinians put themselves forward as members of the UN watchdog. This is up from the current position of the Palestinians, the only non-permanent member status.
Through the supervisory status, Palestine can become a full member of the UN agencies like the World Health Organization (WHO), the National Observer United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the UNESCO as a UN conservation agency.
A compromise was made by Sarkozy diapreasiasi by the Palestinian side. The idea of the French President plans are studied in depth by the Palestinian side.
But Secretary Kabiner Tzvi Hauser balked at the idea. For Hauser, what is being proposed by France is too premature.
"For Israel, the establishment of a Palestinian state can only occur by the end of conflict and the cessation of all claims made during this," said Hauser told RFI on Friday (09/23/2011).
Hauser rate, so not likely recognize a Palestinian state and from there started a negotiation for a region.
The U.S. will certainly reject the efforts of the Palestinians. President Obama would veto expressly granted any form of recognition to the Palestinians. According to him, the conflict between Palestine and Israel can only be resolved through negotiations.
