International News In English - Offices Malaysian Opposition Attacked


KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia experienced vandalism opposition headquarters today, along with the close election process in Malaysia.

The headquarters of the Democratic Action Party (DAP) in Penang damaged when someone tried to burn. In this party were members outside the office.

DAP-member Malaysian citizens of Chinese origin and is not a Muslim.

The party joined the coalition of three parties which controls Malaysia, but the federal level, form the opposition in this country. Similarly, according to AFP on Thursday (18/08/2011).

Penang police chief Gan Kong Meng said the police today are investigating the assault case and the suspects were wanted.

Over the weekend, officials from the headquarters and also studded DAP with red paint and vandalism attacks also occurred. Chicken carcasses was also hanging in front of the DAP party officials.

Malaysia assesses the political environment seems polarized because the opposition is now receiving its power in recent years. A fair electoral process is also expected early next year.
